Deeping St James (Jimmy Deeping) is a village 1 mile east of Market Deeping. Market Deeping is on the A15 between Peterborough and Bourne.
The local bus service is Delaine buses.
Travelling by bus from Peterborough:
101 bus from Queensgate will get you to the centre of Market Deeping. From there it’s a mile walk to Jimmy Deeping.
Buses generally run every half hour. Last bus back to Peterborough is 1950 on Fri and Sat (1620 on Sunday). Alternatively get off at Northborough (2nd stop) and walk to the Priory. It’s a pleasant walk and you have to go past the Bell which is one of our sponsors! Just sayin’….
Travelling by bus from Bourne:
101 bus as above but backwards! Last bus to Bourne is 2025 on Fri and Sat (1721 on Sundays)
Travelling by bus from Spalding/Stamford:
Forget it. Occasional buses but probably every 2 hours. The 301 can be used and it will get you to and from Stamford with Jimmy Deeping in the middle. No service on Sunday.
